Snake removal in Minnesota
Snakes in the house?
Snakes are usually harmless, but nobody wants one in the basement. A snake inside is often a sign of something else, like rodents or another animal problem it followed in. We remove the snake safely and find out why it came.

Signs
How to tell it is snakes.
- A snake seen in the basement, garage or living space
- Shed skins near the foundation or in storage areas
- Snakes gathering in the same spot in spring or fall

Usually harmless, still unwelcome
Most snakes found around Minnesota homes are not venomous. The state's two venomous species are rare and limited to the far southeast. That does not make one in the basement any more welcome, and a pet or a child can still get hurt.
A sign of something else
Snakes go where the food and shelter are. A snake inside often points to rodents or another animal problem, or to gaps that let it in. We look at the whole picture, not just the snake.
Dens and exclusion
Where snakes gather in numbers, we clear the den and close the gaps they use, so they cannot settle in the same place again.
Questions
Snake questions, answered.
There is a snake in my house right now. What should I do?
Keep children and pets away, close the door to the room if you can, and call us. Do not try to handle it. We take late calls for exactly this.
Why is there a snake in my basement?
Usually it followed food or shelter through a gap in the foundation, around a pipe or under a door. Finding and sealing that gap is part of the job.
